Forever Winter
April 2026

i've been working since early march on an album im now calling "forever winter."

forever winter is inspired by the yearly march snowstorm we have in our town. as i write this blog post in late march, it is still going on pretty harshly and i hope it clears up soon, but it has inspired me to work again on this project. ive wanted to make an album based on winter like as soon as i started creating music, and i feel like this period is finally my time to do it

i also have this weird feeling to be honest. i've made so much music thats inspired by my environment but i've only published it through means that overtime will harm the environment. data centers don't belong to just ai, anything that uses bandwidth and streaming (especially music) will harm the environment, so am i hypocritical for publishing all my environmental music on platforms that actively harm it? i want to release this album in a back-to-basics form. burnt cd-rs with handmade/printed artwork and sharpied disks, as a tribute to the old times of independent artists. june is my absolute deadline for this project, but if i stay focused i can perhaps have it ready to release in late april.

to celebrate the site opening, im making one song from it available for all, enjoy
